    BJ - Tech After Hours - Using Xiaohongshu Effectively

    Social e-commerce platform Xiaohongshu (also known as RED or Little Red Book) is one of the breakout stars of Chinese social media in 2018. With over 100 million registered users, Xiaohongshu is a word-of-mouth marketing platform where consumers can discover and buy international products based on trusted user-generated content, including recommendations and reviews. Its most popular content categories include foreign cosmetics, beauty supplies, and health products, and it is rapidly expanding into other segments such as fashion, travel, fitness, men’s products, and mommy baby.

    社交电商平台小红书是2018年横空出世的一枚中国社交媒体界新星。拥有超过一亿注册用户,小红书是一个可以让消费者通过口口相传方式和基于信任的个性化内容(包含评价和推荐)来发掘并购买国际产品的平台。它最有名的内容分类包含国外美妆,健康产品,和迅速发展的时尚,旅行,男士用品及母婴用品。

     

    The platform holds massive opportunities for brands in these categories, yet it is often overlooked and underutilized, possibly because brands do not fully understand user behavior on the platform and are therefore using it ineffectively.

    Lauren is the VP of Live Streaming at The Meet Group and a Chinese social media marketing expert focusing on influencer marketing, live streaming, and social commerce. She is a Forbes Contributor, host of the China Influencer Marketing Podcast, and is currently co-authoring a book on China influencer marketing.

    Lauren believes the best way to understand influencer marketing is to try and grow and audience yourself. In 2016 she was a professional live streamer with nearly 400K Chinese fans. Nowadays she loves sharing content and growing an audience on Xiaohongshu.

    Miro is a Chinese native and has been living in HK for almost a decade. After graduating from one of the top universities in Hong Kong, CUHK, Miro joined a Chinese e-commerce startup where she was in charge of overseas business development.

    Miro在中国长大,并在香港生活了近十年。在从香港中文大学毕业后,Miro加入了一个中国的电商创业公司,负责海外商业拓展。

    Taking her hand-on knowledge on the China market, in particular how to reach Chinese millennials, Miro co-founded Double V. Consulting, an an agency specializing in Xiaohongshu marketing. She is currently in charge of China channels, solutions, and operations.

    运用她对中国市场亲身了解,特别品牌如何向中国年轻人宣传的方面,Miro联合创办了双盈咨询,一家专门针对小红书市场营销的咨询公司。她现在主要负责中国/渠道,解决方式和运营管理。
